A climate, energy and sustainability company driving Africa’s transition towards a low carbon, climate resilient future.
Rand Energies Limited is an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) company founded in Kenya in 2024, delivering integrated climate, renewable energy and sustainability solutions across Kenya, South Sudan and Botswana. We began as a subcontractor for solar PV system installations — and the quality of our work quickly earned the trust of clients as far as South Sudan.
Having recognised the climate and environmental impact that solar energy can create, we redesigned our model to operate fully as an EPC company. Our multidisciplinary team combines engineering, environmental management and climate expertise to deliver practical solutions that address energy poverty, climate change and environmental degradation.
Unlike conventional solar companies, we offer a complete sustainability package that integrates renewable energy, climate resilience, environmental management, energy efficiency, technical training and long-term asset management — so every project keeps delivering value long after commissioning.
To become Africa’s most trusted climate, renewable energy and sustainability solutions partner, transforming communities through innovative clean energy and environmental stewardship.
To accelerate access to sustainable energy while advancing climate action, environmental conservation and resilient community development through innovative engineering solutions.
Quality, trust and professionalism shape every relationship we build and every system we deliver.
Engineering excellence in design, procurement and construction — using proven, bankable equipment and workmanship built to last in the harshest environments.
We do what we say. Transparent advice, honest pricing and long-term support have earned the confidence of institutions from Turkana to South Sudan.
Safety-first delivery, clear communication and accountability at every stage — from the first site visit to operations and maintenance.
Across Africa — especially in marginalized communities — these challenges are most severe in remote, arid and underserved areas where reliable energy is essential for healthcare, education, water supply and economic development.
Millions of people continue to face limited access to reliable electricity and rising energy costs.
Heavy dependence on diesel generation drives up costs and greenhouse gas emissions.
Climate-related disasters and environmental degradation hit underserved communities hardest.
Institutions carry high operational energy costs that drain resources from core services.
Limited investment in sustainable infrastructure slows development where it is needed most.
Local technical capacity for operating and maintaining clean energy systems remains scarce.
Our technical team has successfully supported clean energy projects for respected institutions operating in some of East Africa’s most demanding settings.
Working with Gesellschaft für Organisation, Planung und Ausbildung (GOPA), one of Europe’s leading international development consultancies, strengthens our project delivery and institutional capacity building.
In Turkana County, Kenya, we provide renewable energy solutions for mission facilities serving remote communities — powering health facilities, schools, religious centres and community services while cutting diesel dependence.
Our experience extends into South Sudan, where operating in fragile and remote environments has strengthened our capability to design, implement and maintain dependable off-grid systems under demanding conditions.
These partnerships have earned Rand Energies a reputation for technical excellence, reliability, professional integrity, long-term support, high-quality engineering and a deep commitment to sustainable development.
